Through rust and lime- this saori white wool warp was woven with 100% silks. Smooth, and rough - wild and cultivated silks- woven with care, laid in the sun, sprayed with tanins, Rust bits laid, and salt sprinkled. The rust flowers, nails, dragonflies and more- baked in the heat of the summer sun.
The shawl was then put into a weak indigo vat. The tanin/rust along with the fair blue, created a light blue green result. If you smell this piece it resonates the gorgeousness of silk. Thick, warm if needed, or as a cool layering piece. Comes with a functional Beyond Form Canadian Maple Shawl Pin.
